Twin Cities · Minnesota

Websites for Twin Cities restaurants.

Hungry people search on a phone in the parking lot. If hours, the menu, and the address are not immediate, they drive to the next place. We build that first screen, then the rest of the site around it.

What goes on the site

  • Hours, address, and tap-to-call above the fold
  • Menu that loads fast on cellular
  • Google Maps embed and Business Profile guidance
  • Photo treatment that matches the room, not stock food

What your customers actually type into Google

Restaurant searches happen on a phone, often within a mile of the door, and usually within an hour of eating. Everything below the first screen is a bonus.

Google reads your hours from Business Profile. Wrong hours here costs covers directly.

Where restaurant sites usually go wrong

These are the faults I see most often when someone sends me their current site. None of them need a rebuild to fix, and any competent developer can address them — including the one you already have.

The menu is a PDF

A PDF is slow on cellular, pinch-to-zoom on a phone, and largely invisible for dish-level searches. The menu should be real text on a real page. This is the single most common and most expensive mistake in the category.

The menu is a photograph of a printed menu

Same problem, worse. It cannot be read by a screen reader, cannot be searched, and is unreadable on a phone without zooming.

Hours live only on Facebook or Instagram

Then Google may show hours that are weeks out of date, and someone drives to a closed door. Hours belong on the site and on Business Profile, and holiday changes need updating in both.

A full-screen video before anything useful

It burns cellular data and delays the three things the visitor came for. Atmosphere can come after hours, address and menu, not before.

What it costs

A one-page site is $300 self-hosted, or $500 if I provide the domain and hosting with a year of updates. Brochure sites are $650 and full business sites $1,200. A website chatbot is $349 setup plus $25 a month. Those are fixed prices, published before you call — see the pricing page or the 60-second planner.

Most restaurants land on the brochure tier. If a one-pager covers what you need, I will say so rather than quote you the larger build.

Questions restaurants ask

Can you take my existing PDF menu and turn it into a page?

Yes, and that alone is usually the biggest single improvement. Send the PDF and it comes back as a fast, readable page you can update.

Do I need online ordering?

Often not. If most orders are phone or walk-in, ordering adds cost and a commission you may not need. If you already use Toast, Square or DoorDash, we link to it rather than rebuilding it.

Who updates the menu when prices change?

You can, on the hosted plan, or send me the change. Menus move often enough that this is worth settling before launch rather than after.

Do you do the food photography?

No, and I will tell you honestly that phone photos of your actual plates in your actual room beat stock food images. If you want a photographer I can point you at one.

Work you can check

Serving the Twin Cities

Most of this work is around Brooklyn Park, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Maple Grove, Plymouth and Coon Rapids, and remote anywhere else in Minnesota.

Other industries I write for: contractors and clinics. Or see web design and local SEO in general.

Fifteen minutes. Brochure sites are $650. If a one-pager is enough, I will say so.
