Websites for Twin Cities contractors.

A contractor site has one job: prove you serve the city the searcher is in, show the work, and put a phone number they can tap. Fancy portfolios that hide the number lose the job to whoever answers first.

What goes on the site

  • Tap-to-call header on every page
  • Service-area pages named for the cities you actually cover
  • Photo gallery of real jobs, not stock
  • Google Business Profile setup so Map Pack has a chance

What your customers actually type into Google

Trade searches are urgent and local. Someone with water coming through a ceiling is not browsing — they are calling the first result that looks like it covers their suburb.

emergency plumber near me
Highest intent there is. Wins on Map Pack position and a tappable number, not on copy.
roof repair Brooklyn Park
City-specific. Needs a page that names Brooklyn Park, not a site that says “Twin Cities metro”.
electrician accepting new work
They are checking whether you are taking jobs at all. Say so.
bathroom remodel cost Minneapolis
Research stage. A price range page catches these weeks before they call.

Where contractor sites usually go wrong

These are the faults I see most often when someone sends me their current site. None of them need a rebuild to fix, and any competent developer can address them — including the one you already have.

The phone number is an image, or only in the footer

If a number is baked into a logo graphic it cannot be tapped, and a customer standing in a flooded basement will not scroll to find it. It belongs in the header as real text, on every page.

The site says “Twin Cities metro” and never names a city

Someone in Coon Rapids searching “roofer Coon Rapids” gets no signal from a page that only says “metro area.” Naming the cities you actually cover is the cheapest ranking work available to a trade.

Stock photography instead of your own jobs

Every competitor has access to the same stock library. Twenty phone photos of your own finished work do more for trust than a polished shot of somebody else’s kitchen.

No licence or insurance details anywhere

Minnesota homeowners are told to check for a licence before hiring. Putting the number on the site removes a reason to call someone else instead.

What it costs

A one-page site is $300 self-hosted, or $500 if I provide the domain and hosting with a year of updates. Brochure sites are $650 and full business sites $1,200. A website chatbot is $349 setup plus $25 a month. Those are fixed prices, published before you call — see the pricing page or the 60-second planner.

Most contractors land on the brochure tier. If a one-pager covers what you need, I will say so rather than quote you the larger build.

Questions contractors ask

Do I need a separate page for every city I serve?

Not every city — the ones you genuinely work in and want more calls from. Three or four real service-area pages beat twenty thin ones, and thin duplicate city pages can be treated as spam.

I already have a Facebook page. Is that enough?

It ranks for your business name, not for the job someone is searching. You also do not own it, and you cannot see who visited. A site is the part you control.

What if I only want the phone to ring?

Then a one-page site at $300 is likely all you need: what you do, where you work, photos, and a tappable number. Say so on the call and I will quote that instead of a bigger tier.

Can you set up Google Business Profile too?

Yes, that is part of the build. For trades the Map Pack usually drives more calls than the website itself, so the two are set up together.

Work you can check

Live Twin Cities work you can open: sisimandarin.com and lexitidream.com. Same mobile-first, call-first pattern we use for trades. Open the full portfolio — every live client site there is on a domain the client owns.

Serving the Twin Cities

Most of this work is around Brooklyn Park, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Maple Grove, Plymouth and Coon Rapids, and remote anywhere else in Minnesota.

Other industries I write for: restaurants and clinics. Or see web design and local SEO in general.

Fifteen minutes. Brochure sites are $650. If a one-pager is enough, I will say so.
